Does anyone on here rate these two blokes in the halves? Ive seen them both play a few times and I think Troy Dargan is a good young talent in the 7 jersey

Dunno who the first bloke is but the second guy could really handle himself on a Rothmans Honda . What is he 50 now ? Not sure he'd handle one of our Hardest Preseasons ever .
Not sure on Doolan yet. He's put on a bit of weight and doesn't seem to want to progress through. Dargan imo has carried the attack in our NYC team whether it be through his short kicking, passing or running he's set up a bunch of tries/line-breaks and scored some himself. It will take him another few games but I think he should be the dominant half in our NSW cup team, he would certainly be able to lead them around.
Is it the club's doing or Doolan's doing, that he always seems to be playing in a different grade and a different position each week? I find that he hasn't quite worked out his ultimate position - even if I think he's clearly more of a half than a fullback.
But Dargan is certainly the front-runner between the two.
Roger, I try to follow each of the grades, without being able to really go any, but certainly from the reports I am reading with thanks from those like Ham, I get a fair idea of the up & coming players, Dargan does have the potential, as well as being young so the future is there for him to take.
I personally am quite excited about some of the young players coming up, just hope they continue in their developments as well.
I also believe that the problem for most supporters is that the options of seeing the players in action is limited, if they are out of the NYC, & in Wenty then who really sees them? I believe so much that there needs to be a proper reserve grade game & have 3 games each match. Even if it becomes NSW centric owing to the cost of transport for the 3 grades, its something that has to happen, I even believe that rather than the 20's or the old Presidents cup being what would be the 3rd grade, bring in the old under 23's as first step from what is now the NYC, or old Presidents cup.
Uder 23 --- Reserve -- NRL main game. 3 games each match.
His only game he was okay. Pretty hard to defend against Tony Williams as an 18 year old half so I won't hold that against him. In attack he didn't do too much that warranted special mention other than a nice chip kick to the winger that was just a little bit too high. He didn't look out of sorts which was the best thing. Once he has about a month to get up to speed I'd be looking to get him more involved in the kicking game. Once he gets right with that give him more touches of the ball in the red zone. Being so young it will take time we'll just have to wait it out.
