I recall from my teenage days the magical Parra side of 1981, 1982 + 1983 playing trial matches at Wauchope (a small country town just west of Port Macquarie where I grew up and Jack Gibson used to own a property), As kids we would run around getting autographs and all the champion players and Jack himself were more than happy to accomodate our requests for photos or autographs and we (the younger Parra supporters) thought it was the absolute best day of our lives.
While it is purely coincidental (or is it?) that we also went on to win the premierships in those years, would it be worthwhile considering a trial match in Wauchope to try and get some of our mojo back, Obviously you wouldn't have them playing the local side as they did back in the days (and Parra would win by 80 - 100 points)
Just a thought

Im from Port Mac as well and lived in Wauchope for 10 years. Parra has a huge following on the Mid North Coast and i remember the trial against the Panthers 3 or 4 years ago which had a higher attendance then the City/Country game earlier this year and that was a sellout.
Gooraz would definitely love it if they played a trial at Wauchope as it would only be about 70 km to travel north from where we are.
Spot on BK...I went to every game.....bring back the old Wauchope trials.....
