The Dyldam Parramatta Eels congratulate this week’s winners of “Trainer of the Week”, Corey Norman and Daniel Alvaro
The Trainer of the Week award recognises one forward and one back for putting in the biggest efforts of the week in the gym and on the training field.
This week, Corey has been excellent with his running and energy both in the gym and during field sessions. He has an infectious enthusiasm to training. Meanwhile, Daniel has been close to winning the award for a number of weeks. This week he excelled in his field conditioning.
Corey and Daniel both take home a Gold Class Event Cinemas voucher thanks to our partners at Events Cinemas.
Look out for our Trainer of the Week winners announced at the end of each week right through pre-season!
Week Three Winners: Chris Sandow and Isaac De Gois
Week Four Winners: Reece Robinson and Tui Kamikamica
Week Five Winners: Semi Radradra and Manu Ma'u

Corey Norman won something? Now we know this award is bullshit for sure.
I can't work this out...you're an Eels supporter but with a Bullfrog avatar? What that make you? Besides being a fool...
They have pretty much just named a different forward and back each week. Not too much to it. Everyone will probably get a go.
I don't think everyone will get a go. There are some guys who just don't train as well.
This is about rewarding effort. It's not necessarily saying they have what it takes to make the team.
I like the idea.
Looks like a 'everyone wins a prize' deal.....What, are we in Kindergarten?
I think would have a lot more weight, and would be far more interesting if the club gave our some specific, quantifiable information to back up the process.
ie; This week Norman returned a beep test of 12 up from his previous best of 10.8, in addition to improving his dead weight lift to xkg.
I know not everything is quantifiable but I think that's the kind of training insights that would really interest the supporters and it would make the awards seem less kiddy with phrases like "He has an infectious enthusiasm to training".
I think the certificate looks like this doesn't it?
