There's no doubt this penalty sucks balls. There's no doubt the current admin are culpable either by design or ignorance. But, somehow, I feel more positive about the future than ever.

Im thankful for getting BA and the players we recruited. If that means 1 more lean year of pain for future prosperity then so be it. If any group of fans can grind out one more shitty years it's us.

I've loved watching our team play this year, REALLY loved it. There is something magical happening and not even Todd Voldermort Greensponge can stop it. I would rather see the current team play for nothing than suffer another 5 years of B-grade players farting they're way into 10th place.

That is providing:

1. no more sanctions for this year / next year

2. we are able to keep the players that count

  • I'll make that call after I see who leaves
    • No one should leave. We play for nothing this year and don't re-sign some of the off contract players next year.
Let's hope Foran isn't forced from the club - our only elite player, when other clubs have 3 or more. Disgraceful.
  • You're nuts alright, but I agree - as long as we keep the core of this squad.
That means our halves, a few of our good forwards and Semi. We can afford to lose Peats, we can afford to lose Gordon and a few others. I'm sure we can recruit well enough to cover those losses.
    • I'm totes nuts. Good to see im not alone. I agree with everything except Gordon. He's a rock back there + goal kicking. Poor old Guth can't hit the side of a barn (although I like him otherwise).

    • I like Gordon
  • MMM......, you'd have to say that our other main internationals, Semi and Manu (NZ) would now be in that category.  (not necessarily remunerated as elite)

  • The future looks much brighter for the GWS Giants. They just inherited a whole heap of new fans. Apparently their CEO is holding a press conference at 11.35 to officially thank Todd for his support.
  • Seriously I love how some of you can just write players off. Grow some substance and character.
  • Daz were you at Mardi Grass on the weekend?

    • I do live in Lismore (near nimbin) - mardy grass festival was just on

"Sorry should have clarified, 1998 NRL era.
I stuck to what i knew best. I love Luke Burt, still my favourite ever player, hence the dp. He didn't have that flashy skills like Hayne and was undersized but to accomplish 260+ games is an achievement…"

"Can you define what era / year your modern day starts from.
I took Jarryd Hayne on your survey, but I also loved Luke Burt as a team man. Luke Burt reminded me so much of little Paul Taylor, did so much work but never got the credit he deserved."
