  • I heavily reject this notion that we will not be good in 2023 or our window shuts this year due to who is leaving, for a few reasons.

    1) Look at our starting 13, only 2 (If Papali'i stays which i think is likely) are leaving. Mahoney replaced by Hodgson and Opacic who could be replaced by Dunster or Simonsson. Our bench will need work but Hopgood looks like a talent, Murchie is a decent pick-up and who is to say we still wont buy another forward like a Taupau. If Papali'i leaves who is to say Murchie couldn't be what Papali'i became?

    2) We can develop players, players like Hopgood and Momoisea will leave Parramatta better than when they arrived.

    3) Penrith, Sydney City and Melbourne have a big turnover also yet are considered jsut fine? We have our spine in tact minus Mahoney with a hooker that on his day is a top 5 in the comp. Our middle is still in tact also. Better middle than Melbourne and Sydney City and on par with Penrith.

    • Agreed. There are some unknowns, but our core is still more or less in tact and in their collective primes. Write us off next year at your peril

      • Plus Trent Barrett will go down as buy of the year, look at Luai and Cleary after he had them? Yes they were going to be great but he molded them to stand on their own quicker. Barrett i believe is licking his chops with Dylan Brown.

    • Can't argue with any of that LB, well said..

    • I've never understood this thinking that we won't be any good ext year. If Hodgson stays fit I think we will be better off

    • LB, Insightful agree 100%.

    • Yeah but Super Dud might continue next year with Super Sub 7 continually on the bench ready for a permanent 6,7or 9 spot and the others will be on bench and play for 2-5 minutes

      • Shut up and go away

Melbourne will have their eyes on Ryles there's absolutely no doubt.  If i were Sarantinos and the board I'd be in talks right now to extend Ryles.  Ryles will turn this club around the longer he is here the better we'll get. Every player he's…
