TOTAL NUMBER OF WINS SINCE 2014 TO PRESENT

Being a bit of a stats "Geek", went through the last 3&3/4 Seasons since Brad Arthur took the position of head coach. Remembering in the 3 previous seasons before his arrival we finished 14th, 16th & 16th. In that period of time all teams have played 90 regular season games -1st - Storm - 61 wins2nd - Cowboys - 58 wins3rd - Broncos - 56 wins4th - Roosters - 53 wins5th - Sharks - 48 wins5th - Dogs - 48 wins7th - Panthers - 47 wins8th - Manly - 46 wins9th - Parra - 45 wins10th - Dragons - 43 wins10th - Rabbits - 43 wins12th - Raiders - 42 wins13th - Warriors - 38 wins14th - Titans - 36 wins15th - Tigers - 33 wins16th - Knights - 21 winsAs a matter of interest total wins from 2011,12&13 - 17/48.As we can see a definite improvement from the 11/12& 13 seasons, obviously still some way off the top sides in the competition but closing the gap.Thoughts everyone?

  • It shows we have moved in the right direction, moving up the table. It also show that clubs who are successful in making the finals like the Dogs and Manly haven't been much better than us.

I'm sure this team is here to stay and will be playing finals footy for the next 5 years. Hopefully it all comes together and we can break the drought. We have future rep players in French, Guth and Mitch.

  • There seems to be a lot of quality coming thru from the younger teams as well. NYC going well this year despite having a number of players promoted to ISP. U18's national champions. The critical mass of the current NRL squad signed thru until 2019.

I think there is a lot of positives to come out of this year given that due to the salary cap scandal last year this is another year of rebuilding. Whilst our performances would have been better this year had we shown some consistency and turned in a few good 80 minute performances we should still make the 8 for the first time since 2009.

It is also noteworthy given that we have 4 players with season ending injuries in IDG, Kayser Pritchard, Beau Scott and Clint Gutherson.

  • I'm surprised we are only 3 wins off the Sharks in that period. They've had a comp and I think made the semis each year? Although that might not be right haven't checked
  • Actually now that I check they came stone motherless last in 2014. That's a huge turnaround in 2 years. Amazing really
    • Gotta love them tides
  • Not too bad.

  • Great work, you certainly are "the Dude".

To bring such clarity to the really good job that BA (the bush coach) has done in his 3 & 3/4 seasons to date. Not to mention the disruptions BA has had to deal with every season starting from Hayne's walkout at end of 2014 to chase his dream? "Tell him he's dreamin"! Which completely blindsided us for 2015 without warning. We all know what happened in 2016.

Clearly 2009 and 2010 were the last time we had a decent coach and team under Daniel Anderson and he didn't have to start from scratch like BA did or for that matter the much maligned Ricky Stuart who had to pick up the pieces that Stephen Kearney left him.
