Top Blogger Competition

One of my main priorities for the site this season is to really encourage and foster quality Rugby League discussion.

One of the things I'd like to do is get some sort of competition going, where we recognise a 'Top Blogger' during a certain time period. Maybe Blogger of the Week, maybe Blogger of the Month. I'm thinking how it will work is if you'd like to enter the competition, you tag your blog Topblog and then at the end of the time period we decide on, the person who's posts get the most likes wins the honour.

I'm thinking I'll try and get a sponsor too, so we can give away a prize for the person who win, as well as maybe an overall winner at the end of the season. (If you're involved in a company that would be interested in sponsoring this or providing prizes let me know!)

The blog doesn't have to be about Parramatta. If its a general Rugby League blog that fits into the League category that's fine, or even a thought-provoking non-footy blog that goes into the Social category. The idea is just to recognise people who take the time to contribute a post that gives us all something to chat about and discuss.

Love it, will love it more when the season starts and the serious footy discussions begin. Anything that encourages that is a good thing!

  Haha. I've decided I'm going to ratchet everything up a notch this year, and see how high this baby can fly! Whether I can sustain this pace, we'll see!

just make sure this comp doesn't encourage a large number of trash worthy blogs. we want quality over quantity. but happy to see a large quantity of quality.
