Morning Y'all, what a great feeling it is to be in the top 4. The Eels last night where like Neo in the Matrix, when he finally worked out that he was the One, dodging bullets and punches with ease.
Although we where clunky, we never looked like losing, but to quote another movie "let's not suck each other's dicks just yet"!
A little while back, the 18th of August to be precise, I posted a blog titled "THE TOP 4 STILL IN REACH FOR PARRA". It was a few days after our flogging by the side that completely owns us, the Bunnies. Morale was extremely low that week. The blog I posted wasn't particularly popular but it offered hope. Most thought it was ridiculous hope, "tell him, he's dreaming"! Nonetheless, one of the paths of making the top 4 came to fruition (Parra winning their final 3 v Melbourne losing their final 2).
Now on to our next 3 victories. The path to winning the 2022 GF. If we beat the Panthers, we get a week off and likely play the chooks in a major semi and then the Panthers again..... as if beating them for a fourth time in a row doesn't hammer the point home.
The alternative path is that we lose to the Panthers next week, then we likely play Melbourne at home, think NEO, then we run into a winnable game against either the Sharks or the Cows in what would be the major semi on the other side of the draw. Victory would again mean meeting the Panthers on GF Day.
If the boys want a GF Ring then they need to channel some of that Gandalf in defence, "YOU SHALL NOT PASS"!
A little bit more hope I suppose.

Yes top 4. I was one of the we won't make top 4 brigrade.
Full credit to Brad Arthur and the team. That was a strong performance for 75 minutes, little slopy at the end. Was good hearing the players own the last 5 minutes and saying they were disappointed.
Iam a BA knocker but last night he owned it. Still don't think Jake should be in the 17 that's my opinion.
Nothing better mate :)
