  We have shown in recent years that attack is not a problem for us,and with the addition of a bit of flair and speed in Gutherson and Jennings we will be even more potent, BA has however gotten rid of our weakest link in defence and added a wall of good defenders, Jennings on the left pushes Taka over to the right with Foran where we have been weak previously, on paper we look like a very good side,lets hope BA implements a good game plan and I think we will surprise everyone. I hope.

  I don't want to sound over optimistic ( see unicorn frolicking to the GF) but provided we don't get deducted the 4 points I honestly believe our roster has the goods, we have speed, forward grunt, much improved line speed and a cool head for directing our attack - sheesh we only missed the top 4 last year by capitulation in the back third.

  Yeah, right. Look, I promise to be a unicorn this year if everyone promises not to trot out the old "we need time to gel" line after we start the first 10 games with just a few wins. Seriously, I promise. Likelihood of folks ignoring "time to gel"? Scant, so my promise to be a unicorn is probably unlikely to come back to haunt me!

    You are right of course Prof Daz.

    I think we will have a great year but what will the excuses be IF we start the season slowly and are 3-4 wins after 10 rounds. Time to gel seems to be the best excuse followed by injuries to some Wenty players including Kelly and finally the refs are screwing us.

    Top 5 excuses:
    1. Time to gel
    2. Refs
    3. J Paulo or R Morgan to blame. They don't even have to play or even be at the club to be at fault.
    4. Where is Sandow?
    5. New interchange rule was unfair to our team (no idea how but watch this space)

  Top 8 is expected and should be minimum expectation, the team at the very least should be aiming at top 4 if not minor premiership. This is the problem at parra we are content with not finishing with the spoon in recent years and now are just happy to make the 8. We have to aim higher and I know it is because we have been burnt several times but we have to change this loser mentality. I say top 4 and won't be surprised to finish minor premiers and I honestly believe that.
