It looks like Matt Arthur is the next addition to our top 30 for 20232026*

I am stoked for this appointment and he will be a future superstar at his position if he adds a bit more size, he seems to be yet to develop his adult body.

Crafty and Smart Dummy Half with leadership skills and seems very well-liked by his teammates.

Backs
Pensini, Sivo, Bailey, Russell, Harper, Dunster,

Forwards
Joe O, Junior, RCG, Hopgood, Greig, Kelma, Doorey, Matterson, Makatoa, Cartwright, Lane, Mataele, Momoisea, Rodwell

Spine

Mitch, Dylan, Gutho, Lussick, Hands, Asi,

Unconfirmed
Ogden, Cini, Moretti

Apologies team, he will join the 30 in 2026.

It is still a great development, and will likely see NRL footy in the next couple of years.

That means both Blaize Talagi and Matt Arthur are the future for us, hopefully we see Sanders stick around to complete the retention of these champion talented youngsters who have been with us their whole journey until now!

  • He joins the top 30 in 2026.

    • Oh thank you Powa! I mis-read. Thanks for pointing that out

  • From what i have seen of young Matt, he does like a good prospect. We have a few good ones coming through but are probably a year or so away from nrl. Its the short stop gaps in the meantime we need to fill.

  • Whilst he could well be the next messiah in the number 9, I can't understand why we guarantee a top 30 spot in a few years to anyone. What if these guys do not develop as expected (see Cini)? We are then wasting a top 30 spot on a player who we don't want.

    • But then if they sign elsewhere like Sanders did people would whinge that we didn't lock them down early enough.  You can't have your cake and eat it too. It's a risk clubs take.

I'm sure there's probably a few of these young players getting upgraded to similar deals but Arthur draws the most attention because of his dad.

      • Well said Eels95

    • He's guaranteed nothing but an extension on a development deal

      • It clearly says he WILL move into the Top 30 in 2026.

        • Will is the journalists prediction, many believe sooner but a prediction all the same

  • He will be top 30 next year. I believe he will be minimum 14 in 2025. He looks the goods, tough as nails, has a brain and is able to pass and kick well.
