Top 30 - Blaze Talagi

TCT had a podcast with Mark O'Niel where he said there is still one spot left in the top 30. The top 30 for eels has been changed. Blaze Talagi is no more listed on the top 30 or even development contract. So perhaps thats why O’Niel said there is one spot left. Shame that its him not on the top 30 rather than Tevita. I am not certain if this is true. If so, it will be a real shame. Talagi is my favourite junior coming through and will be an abolute star with many of us backing him to lock down a centre spot by the end of the year or even 14 as he has the ability to play fullback, centre, five-eight and lock.

  • He was on development last year and he training with the squad. I assumed it was Tevita as well. We have plenty of middles, not so many backs.

  • So Momosea, Rodwell, Cini and Dunster (to name a few) all secured a spot over Talagi. If Cini couldn't get a run last year it's hard to think he'll be in the mix this year. We have 48 second rowers yet Momosea and Rodwell still get a spot over Talagi.

    • Zero Tackle shows Talagi in and Tevita out.

      • Well bloody hope so since Taumoepenu got limited game time in Cup last year. He was named for the first trial, suited up and didn't even get on the field. JJBM got in over him. Yet he gets a top 30 deal? Bloke is laughing to the bank on an NRL minimum.

But looking at Zero Tackle, both Talagi and Taumoepenu are in there. Talagi has a player option for 2025.

    • If it makes you feel better parra tried to move on Dunster and cini both but both said no we want to stay

      • They tried moving on Dunster? That's surprising. I thought they would give him a chance this year before making a decision. Cini get yes leave please

      • I still dk how some of you get some of that information

        • I use to work with the guy who works at or is cini and dunster management. Spoke to him other week about footy and cini and Dunster came up, he mentioned that parra tried to move both on. He did say Dunster is killing it in preseason and reckons he should be in over Russell

Nitro_talent That is the management team on Insta if you want to have a look. He also said pryke is one of parra fittest players and is smashing the pre season

          • I'm pleased to hear that Dunster is going well in pre and running freely. I don't think some realise how potentially good he was going to be before that injury. Hopefully he can somewhat fulfill that potential

            • I 100% agree with you.

Nitram replied to Eel for life's discussion NSW: Mitch SOS - Will he fit in time for Origin 3
"Cleary was obviously injured. Probably something that happened too late in the week to bring in the redcliff halfback, who should be 18th man next game in case this happens again (both moses and cleary injured)."

"Only if he is 100% and cleary is not (again). Id prefer cleary if both 100%. But a 100% moses is better than a 90-95% cleary, its that close between them. On another note, Luai is the best option at 6 and there is no reason to drop him."

"He can't play. That's getting ridiculous.Having said that, Moses and Luai are the No.1 combo for sure. Moses with his long boot and speed, Luai with his off-the-cuff style. They compliment each other really well. Cleary shat the bed last night…"
