Tonight proved plenty!

Anybody that had doubts or thought the signing of Kieran Foran was either a bad move or we paid to much just watch tonight's game. The guy is a leader and a winner. It's the little things that most fans don't see that makes him so good. For example, I seen a play he did in the first half without the ball. He sprinted from the opposite side of the ruck to put pressure on the Cowboys kicker, the result was, the kick went over the dead ball line. Without that pressure, the kicker would have placed the ball deep in our corner or in goal. Kieran is also the most talkative half we've had for a long time. Goodbye to the days the Eels have struggled to finish games and welcome to the smart and controlling director we now have. IMO, Kieran is the best signing by the Eels in my lifetime and I'm 40 years old this year.

  • and I'm 40 years old this year

you were old enough to remember 1986 - but what about 81 82 83 - I feel for you bud...so close but yet so far

    I agree with you blog

    • I think, ( not talking about replays ) I remember the 83 GF. I think the 81 and 82 seasons was what made me follow Parra. Living directly across the road from Kogarah oval as a kid so I should have followed the Dragons, but every time I played Footy I was Brett Kenny, so I blame him for my 30 years without success. I have no doubt if Kenny played elsewhere I would not have followed the Eels.
  • Good post mate agreed 100%
  • You bloody beauty I hope so mate that defence was brutal. Less tackling so more petrol to hit harder. Now got to work out how to stop NRL taking points then it will be a year to remember

  • Agree Slippery, and congrats on taking your boy to his first game tonight, youve been a happy man since being married and having kids, im happy for you.

  • Kenny was my idol as well - I hear ya!!! - but I was fed a steady diet of Pricey Crow and the rest of the mid-late 70's hero's before Sterlo & co arrived in the early 80's - I was NEVER going to support any other side BUT NOW like the rest of us - you are in too deep, no turning back now LOL

....the waiting is the hardest part (Tom Petty)

  • I was actually very fit until my knee injury and then me broken leg. I played plenty of 6 in my day, in fact I played 6 for my school commonwealth bank cup side whilst in year 8. I still have some videos of my playing days. If I knew how to get the footage from vhs onto my computer I could post some highlights for you guys.
