Just heard that Tom Opacic has signed with Parramatta on a one year deal. My understanding is that BA wants him as cover for Waqa and Jennings if needed.

Injury prone but talented. Few years back could have been anything . Like these one years deals . Performance based and all or nothing for the players. If I recall he is a goos defender which is Polar opposite to waqa at current times.
I also like the 1 year contract for a solid player. He might end up a good fit for when Mennings retires
He makes horrible defensive reads. Very fringe NRL player. Rather we bought a younger play.
By young I meant like a 22 year old or younger. Thus, someone that age can be developed into Jennings' long term placement.
I will trust your opinion that Opacic is a good defender because I honestly didnt watch him closely in the games he has played.

I have seen him play for the boncos and cowboys. He barely played for the cowboys this year. Couldnt beat the likes of Justin O'Niel who had a horrible year.
I wouldn't be trusting Paul Green to know what talent is. He managed to lose Kikau and Ponga from right under his nose.
