THEY'VE endured the retirement of Eric Grothe, the departure of Timana Tahu and now, just when Parramatta were hoping the new year would bring with it a change of fortune, one of the Eels' stars is stranded in flood-stricken northern Queensland.
Tom Humble, the highly rated Eels playmaker, had been spending time with his father and sister in his home town of Blackwater since Christmas Eve. But the flood crisis, which has ringed his small town with water, could end up extending his holiday and eating into the Eels' pre-season

Good to hear that he's alright though, and not as badly affected as other areas.
Condolences in advance to anyone affected.
Damm - does that mean I have been overlooked because I was stranded in the same flood for a while?
Something like 100,000 people have been stranded or displaced in one way or another by this very same flood and the SMH is so desperate for a story they go and issue this crap.
Why didn't we get a story about Cronin's pub in the NSW floods?
What about GI having to use a plane to cross the floods because his boat is moored in Sth Sydney - or Slater riding track work in the floods in Vic?
Someone shoot me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
