Tom Humble set to debut

It is expected that if Kris Keating, who is a 50/50 chance to play against the Sea-Eagles at Brookvale on Monday night, is to pull out that Tom Humble will make his First Grade debut.

  • Plays a similar game to Dom Humility... One is more of a do'er but both will mirror each others playing ability.
    • brilliant! i think everyone is forgetting Ron Modesty. Good player who never gets any credit.
  • Source, considering keatings been named?
    • Only if Keating doesn't play. Humble has been training at 5/8 this week, as well as Kris.

Source: I know people within the club.
  • You wouldn't want an Eels half playing a good game at Brookvale. They are Parra's reserve grade team these days.
    • Haha you know it mate!

Just as a general comment to everyone. If he does debut let's give the kid a fair go yeah? I know a lot of you have big expectations of him but if he does play, it's likely to be on a heavy, dewy Brookvale Oval on a cold night with the likes of Stewart and Watmough directing themselves at him all night. Let's just support him either way!
  • At the moment i still think we're much better off with a fit keating than an inexperienced humble. But if he does end up playing, it will be VERY interesting to see the reaction on this site.

I really do hope he lives up to the hype, cause if he turns out a dud performance... the humble pushers will drop him like a sack of potatotes. Then again, if he does have a blinder, every keyboard coach and absolute knob on this forum will start a blog on 'how clever they are'.
    • fui fui - im a humble fan , i just think he could add the spark into the side , something like tim smith did in his first year . with the backline we have , id love to see the kid get a crack at bigtime and games dont get much bigger than brooky .
  • I reckon Mitchell is more likely to get a game
    • Mitchell was being considered however DA does not want to have to upset the scheme of the team too much. If Mitchell plays it'd be Robson and Mortimer halves, Matt Keating hooker and Mitchell bench. I believe DA has settled on Robson and Keating being the hooker rotation for now and Mitchell will only debut if there is an injury to either Robson or Keating.
Humble should debut provided Keating isn't fit to play.
