  It's the only channel I listen to and we have been listening to the hottest 100 on Australia Day for many years. It's an institution for all jjj fans, I do not understand how they come at this decision and why it's a problem to have on a public holiday at all. Aussies all over the world tune in. Honestly the world is going bonkers!!

  At first I was ok with changing the date. I wasn’t wedded to January 26 and it’s not like we sit around commemorating Arthur Phillip. So change it, I don’t care.
  But then I read articles from several Aboriginal activists not merely calling for a date change but calling for a scrapping of Australia Day altogether.
  So it’s folly to believe that by merely shifting the date of Australia Day it will somehow unite the country. It will merely shift the date of protests and indignation for many who choose to view our national day as one of shame.
  So now I’m back to the beginning. Leave the date as it is. It’s up to the responsible leaders now in the Aboriginal community to propose an alternative. If they can and the rest of us can get behind it then fine by me. But until then I’m not interested in shifting the day of national protests. It serves no purpose at all.
  I’ve never like JJJ at any age. It’s music is horrid and up its own 8ss.

    Mutt while agreed on most the date should be as is; and as you said if it was ever changed ( Pollies will no doubt try) there’d be more issues as you mentioned. These things need to be knocked on head ASAP
    Agreed with earlier, Waleed needs to be retired; but at least we see what some are like.....

  Well said Retired Legend. They should save the money from Triple J and put it towards Parra’s cap. They are another political group; self appointed mind you.
