Can anyone explain why the NRL has not deducted the 12 points, that just about everyone says we are to lose, as of today? It was said in the Herald last Thursday that the NRL would announce it today! That was said after it was said to be announced on Friday last week! It is about 12 weeks now we have the media saying this is the week, but it does not happen. There is something odd about this delay. Anyone have any facts on the reason? Could it have any relation to the police investigation instigated by the current Eels board about 3 weeks ago?

Nah, I don't think there is anything odd. The five individuals have been litigious so I expect the NRL is being careful about crossing 'i's and dotting 't's.
Also, I suspect there is some last minute negotiating going on behind the scenes. There always is in these kind of situations. We can only hope that, if there is, it'll involve a reduction in points.
The media is just guessing. The NRL never came out and said when it'd make the final decision.
I don't expect it's got anything to do with the police investigation.
hahaha crossing 'i's and dotting 't's... That's a good one.
This is pretty close to the mark IMO
Rob i think we might find in the wash up that the the police investigation was not done at the request of the board, i think that might have been some desperate spin from a desperate group of people, i think it might have been Bevan Paul who requested the investigation.
The investigation might have delayed things, regardless theres no doubt the NRL were always going to stretch it out, that way the Eels fans won't abandon early and the TV games that involve us will still rate well.
I recon we will get the 12 for sure, and probably more.
The chances of us getting a reduced amount would be close to 0% imo.
bevan may be smarter then we think snake.
Snake: Bevan Paul is acting CEO so I was assuming he was acting on behalf of the board. I don`t think he would act alone on a police matter. Your other point about the NRL stretching it out has legs I feel. It also shows what mendacious bastards they are. They say by the week, it seems, that the ruling will come down next Friday e.g. but it never comes!
Schubert also said today that the submissions the club put forward were very extensive and he was happy the NRL was taking the required time to analyse them
yes robert no doubt.
