Titans names Rogers and Zillman for Eels clash

The Gold Coast Titans have named both Mat Rogers and William Zillman in their side to play the Eels, but former Eel Brett Delaney has missed out.Zillman comes into the side as a replacement for Josh Graham, who is gone for the season with a fractured foot.Meanwhile, Mat Rogers has been named despite suffering a nasty head bump in the match against the Broncos.Titans coach John Cartwright said he expected the match to come down to which forward pack gets on top.“Most games are won in the forwards and this game will be no different. I thought we more than matched the Broncos on the weekend."“They had a lot more ball than us and we ended up missing a lot less missed tackles than they did and to do that against a side with that quality of player, I think our forwards answered their critics pretty well on the weekend.’’1 Preston Campbell2 Kevin Gordon3 Chris Walker4 Jordan Atkins5 David Mead6 Mat Rogers7 Scott Prince8 Luke Bailey9 Nathan Friend10 Matt White11 Anthony Laffranchi12 Mark Minichiello13 Ashley Harrison14 Michael Henderson15 Brad Meyers16 Sam Tagataese17 William Zillman18 Will Matthews

  • Delany might be a late inclusion.
  • parra need 2 smash the forwards exactly the same way they did against dragqueeens and the backline will take care of itself
  • I think their backline can be exploited. There isnt much experience there and Walker is a winger not a center. Also Mat Rogers struggles under pressure and when he is under pressure his passes and kicks are terrible.
  • Would be good to break the bogie of not yet beating the Titans. I Think everyone is underestimating them a bit, brisbane have been on fire, and they really put it too them, even though a lot went against them. WE should win, we came clost last time without hayne, so if the ball does not bounce to badly for us it should be all goood!!
  • Forwards are a lot weaker than the Dragons side, we should be able to get on top. Backline is weak-ish, and Prince isn't much better than what we had to combat in Soward, we should be ok.
  • ok u see here there foward pach is not good. The game will be won there

Howver they have a mad backline on the otherhand, our backline is even better. We should win this one, if we play it right

The eels pack was absolultey dominated on Thursday. If it wasn't for Mitch's kicking game, they would not have been in the game.

"LB thing for me is with Kautoga was very physical in attack. Since then he doesn't look like busting a tackle or a grape for that matter. We need a change of middles this week."
