Titans are our biggest game is the season

Because

1. We need one more win from four games to get into the finals and that may be enough to give us a home final. Not much difference between coming 3rd - 6th for our premiership chances.

2. If we win now we can then focus less on making the finals and start getting ready for them - for our remaining games.

3. Titans have beaten us before when we were favourites and they were in poor form. If we drop off in intensity thinking it will be easy then the same will happen. If we focus on a big win we will lose.  We need to turn up prepared for a battle.

4. If we lose we have difficult games. Dogs are in good form, Broncos at their home is always difficult and Manly will be difficult. We do not want to leave the win till later

  • A decent score on the tits should secure a home final.

  • We should put a good score on Titans. They are useless, and we have beaten much better teams this year. I'm not overly worried about Bulldogs or Broncos. I can almost guarantee we beat Manly in round 25 by 4 points.

  • I agree, this is a hugely critical game to win but, I personally think we’re already home for the 8.

This is a MUST WIN game because of our confidence more than anything. If we drop a game here to this years spooners, we can say goodbye to any chance we might have even if we do make the finals. It will psychologically destroy us.

If we win here, I would say it’s okay to drop one game heading into the finals. Just NOT this game.

  • Pretty worried about this one. This is the only game I get to see live each year  Man the ticket prices are ridiculous and half the seats are not available I wonder why the titans can’t put people in seats

    • Me too mate.

      Looking forward to it.

    • Seriously.  Hoping to go.

  • I'd still much prefer to finish in the top 4 as opposed to 5th or 6th. Even if we get smashed by 50 by the Storm at least we are guaranteed a home final 2nd week of the semi's. I get that confidence is huge but top 4 is still a much better scenario for us IMO.

    • Didn't work too well for us last time Outkast, that's all. I'd prefer to win a game and head in with some momentum and confidence.

has a team ever lost, then bounced back to win the Premiership?

      • Pretty sure the Cowboys lost in the first round the year they won the comp. I would prefer to avoid Melbourne or the Roosters as long as we can. If we can get to them with confidence after two semi wins and they have had a week off it may work in our favour. DO we still get a semi at Bankwest in week 2 or would it be at ANZ?

  • Im hoping we win all our games even manly

Slippery. replied to Cumberland Eel's discussion Will NRL let Panthers Win?

I have been watching Rugby League for 40 years, and your theory has me confused.  Please explain to me why the NRL would want the Panthers off the bottom of the ladder? Also,  why would the NRL choose to give a leg up to the Sharks over the Eels?…"
