You suggest that we need to drop 3 players. My question to you is, who do we bring up to replace them? I sound like a broken record, but the leap from Wenty to First Grade is staggering. If too many juniors are blooded too early and at not the right time it can destroy their careers. Not only do they begin playing First Grade in a team that is not confident, leading to them developing little confidence, but for forwards especially if they cannot hand the physicality of first grade, they are in big trouble.
If DA thought our Wenty Forwards were ready, he would have brought them up for Shack instead of Oake. This is our team. That is the bottom line and we need to work with what we have.
The above point is not the one that bugs me most though - this blog once again is centred on pre-conceived notions of players. Courageous Captain Caylo is consistently one of our best forwards. He did very little wrong last night and is consistently tackling and making metres. What really detracts from your blog though is the suggestion that we give captaincy to Hindy. If we are honest, Hindy has consistently been one of our worst. He is being brushed off in defence and not making metres.
That makes total sense then - give the captaincy from one our most consistent performers, to one of our worst!
