Time for Alvaro?

Evans is suspended for one game. Is Alvaro still around. Thought he was good at the end of last season - playing higher impact rather than marathon. Think we need an experienced prop to replace Evans.

  • I wasn't impressed with Evans last night. He seemed a step slower than everyone else, especially in defence.

  • Ha ha, totally forgot about Alvaro......... NO!, he will get eaten up around the ruck with the speed of the game, he was way too slow under the old wrestle days, he wouldn't cope with the current speed of the game.

      • I'm liking stone of late,  was never a fan before his last two games.

  • Stone has a good motor and hits very hard. Similar body shape to the Radley, Murray and they are elite players. Maybe going with Stone and Kafusi is the go.

  • No doubt Kaufusi will come in.

  • Alvaro dropped some weight last year and looked good towards the end of the season. His fitness could be needed. That being said Oregon Kaufusi has earnt his crack next week. He's shown good form when given an opportunity and he's nice and aggressive in defence.

  • The big convefor me with Alvaro is he is our best in the wrestle but with how the rules our now he could be a liability.

I think Oregon comes in for Evans will be the only change

  • Maybe

Terepo needs to to be dropped

    • I don't see Utoikamanu playing this year and to be honest id rather not play him. Terepo is a BA favourite he will play. If Terepo got dropped then Alvaro will be the next in

  • Alvaro was awesome in his last reserve grade game before the covid break. In fact I would go as far as to say he looked out of place and slightly too good for that level. In saying that, I don't think the new rules suit him and with the long break I think there are others in front of him. The fact he hasn't been named in the extended reserves in any of the previous three games since the resumption makes me suspect he has also fallen out of favour for what ever reason.
