  • we can squeeze him in. but has to earn his spot, this humble guy looks the goods too.
  • Mate, I think you've missed the main point of the article:

ON THE eve of Parramatta's biggest game of the year, their former playmaker Tim Smith has returned home - and he's hopeful of an NRL comeback with the Eels.

Smith then goes on to say "Hopefully within a week or two I will have something nutted out,''

If hes back hes coming to PARRA WOO!
  • You know, I'd play for 50,000 also. Getting payed to play full time footy would be awesome.

After reading that article I am hoping that we will re-sign Tim Smith. If he was to come back it would be different and there would be no guarantee that he'd be the same player we saw in '05. It would be nice to see him find his feet in footy again and even to see a little bit of that potential we saw not so long ago.
  • i tell ya, IF we sign him wenty will be absolutely gunning the NSW cup.

if KK or morts was to get injured next year who would be first in line, Humble or Smith.?
    • If we do sign Smith, I have a feeling we could be using Smith/Morts combo and MK/KK in the hooking duties.
  • Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thanks.
  • He hasn't said in the article he wants to return to the Eels though does he?
  • agree Utey 33 I hope and pray no to sign him.
  • If this is true, give him a shot at redemption. Seriously $50k for a modern day footballer isnt alot of money, what have we got to lose? He might even prove to be the great footballer that he once showed he could be, and if not he certainly wouldnt let Wenty down.
  • We can kiss Mortimer goodbye if Tim Smith is signed by the Eels.

If he signed on for $50K, I would be stipulating to him that he will only be playing for Wenty until an injury or very bad loss of form to either KKor Mortimer gives him an opportunity in 1st grade.
