Tim Smith or Chris Sandow?

Two of the most wasted halfbacks on potential, both horrible defenders, erratic and inconsistent, terrible off the field socially and in training, but when on were incredibly enjoyable to watch and support. If you had to rate one over the other, who was better?

  • Smith. At least we won a minor premiership with him playing. With Sandow, we won two wooden spoons.
  • Smith. He was definitely the most talented.

  • Smith. Better kicking game (especially short kicking) and passing. Super talented player. Sandow probably had him covered for running the ball and goal-kicking. Smith in all other areas, even though he wasn't a good defender, was still better than Sandow
  • thats easy - Tim Smith HANDS Down.

At least he got us to the semis in 2005, 2006 and 2007

  • Hardly a fair comparison but it would have to be Smith.  He played with a team of footballers, Sandow played with a team of fuckwits.

    • Al, you sound like a fuckwit
  • Smith.

That first season of his I thought we had finally solved the 7 issue long term. What a wasted talent.

Never had the same thought with Sandow. Waste of money from the get-go.

  • Dare I say, the biggest that parra ever had?

  • Smith hands down. If things could of stayed on track he could of been anything. Same can be said of sandow but timmy was a better footballer
  • Tim any day of the week.

I had a long talk to Sterlo one day about Tim when Tim was killing it for us, Sterlo said Tim was the most gifted 7 hed ever seen at our club and was a much better player at the same age as he was, those are his exact words.

Ive never seen a more talented 7 at our club, Tim was a freakish talent.

Chris is very gifted too but id take Tim in that short time he was killing it over Sandow at his peak any day.
