worth a shot I say...seems he has been dropped from the Sharks side for Porter...so if we can pick him up for a little over minimum wage, he could do well feeding off Haynezy...
So much natural talent. Provided we get him on mimnimum wages I would welcome him. Somewhwere inside him is the form he showed in his debut season. Maybe DA can extract it.
Tim has been over coached!!, should have let him play his natural game like he did when he entered first grade at Parra. Brilliant passing, cross field kicks inside his own 20m playing on instinct, then they tried to mould him into a half balk who controls the game, kicks on the last tackle ect. Works for some but not his game.
I have watched a couple of sharkies games and the only thing he is guilty of in my opinon is trying too hard as most good players will do when they are playing in an average team.
Smith would be perfect for this eels team. He would be able to put guys like Hayne and Tahu one on one with their opponent and these guys will beat their man at least once out of every two times if they are given that sort of ball. Also has a good kicking game.

you havent watched him play very much have you?
He hasnt played a good game in 4 years
IMO he wasnt even that good when playing for us - good kicking game and a decent pass - and only 1 in every 4 games
He would be number 200 on the list of possible halfbacks i'd want in my team - isnt even Wenworthville quality
"There's truth to that. They have the wrong approach , they pick coaches based on their days of playing and not on their player bonding and selection ability. They have always picked teams of individual stars and not blokes willing to go to war for…"

"Why not both? Cleary can't step up in origin and Daley is a terrible coach. There was pretty much the same amount of panthers/ex-panthers players in the team as last year (Edwards, To'o, Crichton, Luai, Martin, Yeo, Leniu etc), yet Cleary couldn't…"
