Tim Mannah put his hand up for origin??

Hey, I think Tim Mannah last night was probably the best forward on the field last night. I think he is an outside chance at getting a bench spot for the blues.

He will probably miss out unless there is injuries through the series but in a few years i could see him as a definate selection.

I think what really stood out was when josh dugan made his break it started by beating mannah but it ended cause mannah ran him down.  What are your thoughts do you think he could play for the blues this year?

  • Mannah has been outstanding this yr, he gets better every wk but i doubt he will play origin this yr that is a big step up from NRL.
He may even be one of those players that play for Australia before origin.
  • Not so much now days but Qld used to throw a roughy into the mix come selection time.
  • Jeez he has come on with a rush - hasn't he?
He had a very strong game all round. (As per usual)
Dugan is no slouch when it comes to speed either.
I am a bit conservative with rushing players into SOO but Mannah certainly is displaying a cool head and maturity atm.
    Outsider BUT - - - -
  • I said a few weeks ago he will definately be a blues player, but not for a couple of years yet, that panthers prop had a strong game as well, so we have a few up and comers in the blues ranks.
  • Roughys sometimes pay off! I hope they consider Mannah.
  • I have just watched the game & have had a look at the stats.
Tim Mannah : 38 minutes for 7 runs making 71 meters & 25 tackles. He only missed 1 tackle & was the ONLY forward in the game to make over 10 meters per run. He pushed through the line with every carry yet when the commentators where discussing the best forwards everyone bar Mannah got a wrap.
He wont get origin this year, but it isn't because he wouldn't fit in on that stage.
Tim for mine needs to be tied up for another 3 years NOW, it will be completely unacceptable if we do not have this man long term.
  • I thought Kade Snowden and Keith Galloway played very well on the night as well. Mannah probably has a couple ahead of him at the moment but will probably play SOO in the next few years.
  • Mannah is definately our future leader by far , he will take over hindys roll with pride , sign him for life eels .

As for origon , He would make other forwards look underdone , i know he will be in nsw for sure , just 2011 i think .

I would love to see him focus on the eels this year and continue this brilliant form .
  • Personally, I wouldn't like to see Mannah play Origin before he signs his next contract. We simply don't have the funds to keep him if his value exponentially increases due to being an 'Origin' player.
