  • Glad I got rid of Foxtel when I did. They're not cheap if you only want the Sports channel. Free to air is much cheaper.
  • Free to air is so annoying as well. They go to ad every 2 minutes. At least with Foxtel you can still watch FTA games ad-free.

We have a decent line up, but we will need to win a big % so we can firm our spot in the top 8.

    • Agree, King Arthur, the advertising on free to air is very annoying as is Rabbit Warren and Gus Gould having the usual non footy banter but Foxtel are getting a bit greedy and the commentators are not always that good.
  • Gate size, I think we will suffer with these games being played at night and 4 of the teams from regional / interstate

    • Completely agree Mitchy, only the diehards are going to go to say the 6pm game and the Thursday games. Winter, night and mid-week games are tough to attract a crowd to because families won't go due to school the next morning and a lot of your office workers will struggle to leave early on a Thursday. I've never thought Thursdays and Friday 6pm games were the right move. They only benefit the broadcasters, not the fans who want to go to the games live. I'd have killed for some more Saturday arvo and Sunday arvo games this season. We'd be a better chance at a bigger crowd if we were at Parramatta but at Homebush I don't think they even run a train to Olympic Park from Central for club games, they only have them from Lidcombe.

    • Me & my son will be traveling down from the central coast get about 4 hours sleep before work on Friday morning they better win
  • It's clear this is purely for ratings but what the hell were they thinking with the Knights game at 6pm? Honestly, who is going to watch it/be there?

It is good though in terms of playing at home 5/6 games and we pretty much have a 7-8 day turnaround at the back-end of the season which is like gold considering our injury list.

  • Yes Sir Super, the consistent week turn around is good; i guess though i am being somewhat selfish and see us playing better in the afternoon; but gate takings and crowds to me will be down, but hope not. Knights usually travel, but night time? I for one struggle getting off work, and then travelling from North central coast down to the game. I may have to leave work at 1 pm......I went to the Friday match with the Warriors (crowd less than 10k) and traffic was held up for an hour or so around the ground due to a bus break down....

    • I work in the city and to get there by 6pm will be a real pain as well as a logistical nightmare. I'll have to drive to Lidcombe, catch the train to Central, then finish work and head back to Lidcombe to pick my car up and drive to the ground and probably get stuck on the M4. I work at the games so catching a train back over an hour after full-time isn't fun and normally not an option.

  • No Sunday afternoon games as usual. Hope this changes when we get back to Parra Stadium.
