We can certainly match & hopefully get over the top of their forwards...it's the kittens fast backline... that's a real worry....
Woods back which will help them greatly but their backline speed will be a concern. If we shut their forwards down it will go a long way to nullifying their backline.
X2
I might also add that we can't put ourselves under pressure from the opening quarter for us to have a chance.
We have a lot more heart this year, all in all the vibe around the eels is different. I feel they will keep feeding off it and winning games.
Last year and the years before you'd think to yourself going into games "are they going to win this" the team has changed my thinking. I'm confident we will bring it home.
Going to need to watch the kicking game of the Tigers. and keep our handling errors to a minimum.
Overall we r a better side. We have a much stronger pack & better halves. Our only concern is our 3/4 line but with Folau in the centres & Robbo being available, we should be ok.
BA will need to be aware that JT will be out to prove a point & in deference to some fans, JT is a very good tactician however If the boys play with the same intensity as last week, I expect Parra to win this one comfortably.
If we were play at pirtek we would win but we not so I don't think we will but I said we would not win last week and look what happen
Tigers have a much younger - and to some extent a less experienced team than us.
Watch how the Dogs took the game away from them by forcing Brook (in particular) into rushed decisions.
We have to contain them in the middle - which we have shown we can do - and rush Brooks on the 5th - BUT - do not leave gaps in the line behind the player(s) rushing Brooks.
ALWAYS be aware of where Tedesco is - if we get to Brooks early that will nullify T - if not - smash T on suspicion.
We MUST have one of our wide forwards coming outside in at Brooks - that will force him inside and Tedesco normally runs to his outside.
Defending close to our line we will need everyone switched on and utilise a very compressed defence.
Apart from keeping their young guns in check...we really need to trap the old fox...farah...he seems to find his old tricks & smart plays that work against us....
Very true AE.
Our middle has to be tight, as Farrah will take on a lot of the responsibility to keep the Tiges coming at us.
His short kicks near the line can be deadly plus kicking from DH on the 5th.
