Thoughts from the Eels v Tigers game

Went to ANZ stadium for the Parra v WestTigers.

The game was boring
Even allowing for injuries (we have a lot) & suspension the team today was shite.
We offered nothing in attack, against a WestTigers team, which at best is average.
Am a Brad Arthur fan, but the team today lacked basic fundaments & this loss is on Brad.
Hoppa is a very average player - cannot catch the ball; positional play is lacking & has no speed.
Bureta Faraimo is a whole hearted player and had a good game
Thanks to our Steve Sharp and our Board for moving our home game from "Fortress Parra"! :( Putting money ahead of wins - smart.
ANZ Stadium has no atmosphere

I am disappointed, angry and sad by the performance of my beloved Eels. But I will look forward to next game.

Don't blame Sharp. The contract was put in place by the previous board. Secondly, the venue shouldn't matter. The field is the same size. It's like the clowns on this site who have a fear of the gold jersey, and blame that for losses. We were cruelled by injury today. I thought they did well to hold on for 70 mins. If Hopoate punched at that ball that Tedesco scored off to take the lead, we might have held on.

  I agree. I like Hoppa but not at fullback.
  
  He is solid but his lack of speed and strength to hit the ball up without half surrendering is a worry.
  
  I swear some of his hit ups were like his feet were shackled together.

  Not sure what Hoppa is on, moneywise, but suspect he would be on a good amount. He has not lived up to it this season & to be honest I do not think he has improved from last season.

  Agreed Paul, its the 1st sensible and true thing u have said on here......ever. Im sure u feel good about yourself right now, and u should. Your eels do suck, they are a terrible team, horrible in every facet infact. We're only 5 rounds in and the hapless eels are also rans, its clear as day for all to see. BA would be sensible in preparing for 2016 season as of now.

Agreed. I have never really felt as close to the action at ANZ as I do at Pirtek. But that is just me.

Careful, Asingh.

We have alot of the la-di-dah wholesome type on here who get a bit heartbroken when they read bad statements that distract them from their Brady Bunch feelings about their team.

They're likely to call you things like a Fair Weather Fan, and tell you that you're being negative and you need to go support some other team.

What are you thinking, dude?! ;-)
