Let me start by saying that I do not have contacts within the club or privy to any inside information. I, also, hope that Kiran Foran is an Eel next season.
But, from what I gather, the contract Foran has signed, there is a clause that allows him to terminate the contract at any time, for any reason he chooses & the Eels would have to pay him $1millon in “compensation”.
If true, that is ridiculous! This clause needs to be taken out (or modified) and if that means Foran goes to another club so be it.
Now, I thought that Scott Seward was doing a good job as CEO, so was disappointed to see him go. But if he agreed to this contract, then he failed in his duty of care to the Parramatta club.
All strong, successful sporting clubs around the world have one thing in common – strong professional Boards!

Thank you for your brevity
Whilst, I understand we have to pay overs, having clauses like this, always ends badly for the club.
