Check out the article "Hayne will take paycut to keep his great mate Inu"

 

Makes good reading, goes in to say that Hayne & Inu want to stay together. Interesting part is at the end Hayne even states that it is going to be very hard for Parra to retain Inu beyond this season.

 

Gotta love the loyalty... I think its nice to see.

 

And P.S- No mention of swapping Inu for Crocker????

    For inu to want to stay with us is a testament to his loyalty as well. He could obviously still get a good salary and a guaranteed 1st grade spot at another club. If he's willing to make sacrafices to stay at our club and haynesy's willing to make sacrafices to keep him, i'm sure the club can come up with something to keep him on. I'd hate to think we've retained morts over inu, only for him to up and leave us for the dogs in 2 or 3 years.

    everyone can be willing to take a pay cut to keep him .. it doesnt matter one bit ... the nrl wont accept it

    Same thing happened last year with Kingston - and now everyone is saying "why'd we let him go?" WE DIDNT!!

    The NRL wont allow players to drop their contracted price to keep another player - this is seen as 'cheating' the salary cap

    i think if they agree to the paycut before june 31st, i think it can be effected.

    How do you figure that, it was an interview with Hayne, they couldnt just write that??? Rugby League Week is a reputable mag

    Yeah, I said this last year. Hayne wants to stay with Inu, who has played with him since the Westfield Sports High days. Hayne and Inu will become club legends in the future, if they stay.
