This time last year I was able to declare that the Eels were gone for the 2015 season. And so, it came about. After three competition games not a bad judgment. I promised that I would judge things in 2016 after three completed games
This time things are quiet different indeed. We won the Nines--which I expected us to do and said so. We won the trials and played OK in them. And we have now won two of three games played against some of the best teams in the competition--or so it seems at this point. A very good effort by most standards. What of the future?
Provided we can navigate the trial by injury without excessive results. Provided we can escape the whiles and evil of the judiciary system. Provided our current form holds up, by the end of Round One, where we have played every team, we could be in a position to press on to the top eight by the end of Round Two.
A lot of provides, or ifs and buts there.
This time may be different!

Roger, before you start getting into the old timers here Roger i'll remind you you are the blow in champ, and your contributions so far have been as weak as piss, your garbage yesterday about in your words ' the huge gap between the board and the team and BA' mate your a dribbler Roger, pull your head in mate.
Love your work Snakey.
Provided we can shut this vicious campaign by the Telecrap and the likes of Ray Hadley to try and coach the NRL into stripping points from us, then I agree we can go along way this year.
If you can comprehend what I wrote you will see how silly you are. For the last three years on here I have been saying that I am the only person on this planet who can`t tell the future! I make no attempt to tell the future in that piece.
