Also not sure how hard he is training at present, I just celebrated my 50th in Vegas and was informed by some Sydney people that Jarrod was at Mandalay Bay seeing the Michael Jackson show on Sunday afternoon just gone.
The Seahawks had played on the Saturday so maybe he came into town after they played.
I can't help think that something else isn't in play with this whole Jarrod leaving the NRL thing. He hasn't had an off season break for the past 12 months ?.
Difference is that Hayne has alot of hype, sponsorship opportunities, and free marketing into Australia. Talent aside this will help get his foit in the door over many more talented players on the draft.
Agreed he really is up against it but u can't deny he is a special talent so I refuse to write him off completely yet. I'm not up on all the NFL rules and regs, does a kick returner return all opposition kicks, that being game restarts and kicks in general play or only specific kicks? If he excels in one position he may get a crack at another position which will get him more game time but I'm not sure that's how it works Over there. As I said I'm not an NFL expert and will have to educate myself on the game a bit more.
It's up to each side. Some teams use two different kick returners. One to return punts, the other to return kick offs. Some teams use just the one. All kick returners have a secondary position and are either running backs or wide receivers. Generally to get onto a squad they're selected as a running back/wide receiver and then moved into the kick returner position.
"He got wider in attack, particularly towards Mam side of the field that helped him poke the nose through and make metres. Brisbane were back peddling the whole second half bar one set on our own line where Samrani stayed down and Reynolds went off."
"De Belin looked way better in his 2nd stint. But his sole purpose is defence, in that portion of the game where Brisbane middles tried to wrestle back momentum in the middle he was solid in defence. "

Things just got a whole lot tougher for the Hayne Plane
