In the past few years Parra hasn't performed until our back is entirely up against the wall.
This time is now.
Players are playing for their livelihoods now.
There can be noone putting in half an effort.
The wing is where Hayne belongs.
Hopefully he can make a few running metres for us early in the sets and with a half a bit of space he still can beat or run over a few.
I am crazy for following the Eels but I think this week is where the season turns.
The Eels need to look at the Tigers style.
Forget about running fancy plays in attack.
Just play up tempo, high energy football for 80 minutes.
Hurt the other team. Frustrate them.
Manly are desperate for a return to form also.
If we start strong, get them on the back foot we may just frustrate them enough to put them off their game.
BTW, if Mitchell moses doesn't start having a crack this week I'd be putting Gutherson or Takarangi at 5/8 and norman at half.

So why wasn't our backs up against the wall 1 week ago? or 2 weeks ago? even 3 or 4 weeks ago?
They are useless and that's not about to change this week unforturnately.
Out of interest, can you name the 5-6 duds and their replacements.
Duds: Tepai Moeroa, Manu Mau, Beau Scott, Tim Mannah, Kane Evans
Replacements: Niokore, Stone, Gower, Vave, Matagi
That's just the 5 quickest ones right there, whether or not the replacements are better we won't know unless we give them a go. But the whole point is to put the team on notice and to make them lift their game. Not talk about it and then do nothing.
We're all crazy for following the Eels...some would even say we're silly, but we love it!
I wish we were running fancy plays in attack .
All I see is the dummy half passing it and the first bloke running into the defensive line .
What has Matagi done wrong?? He charges the line at full speed and taxkles hard
You forgot two words in your post, stick used to between He and Charges and change charges to charge.
Drugs are BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get off them.
So why has Vave been stuck at Wenty, and in losing teams there, what of Matagi? Matagi showed a lot of good form last year but seems to have left it there, he's had several runs this year and done what?
Tepai is getting head knocks too easily, Ma'u has not been performing that well so he has to lift and no denying that, get him back to his best would be great. Mannah still can hold his head high compared to others, but is on his last contract. Kane Evans, for someone his size and age should be doing better of that their is no doubt.
A yes to Niokore, Stone, & Gower, who has been picked in the team this week, and Scott dropped to extended bench, with Matagi and Tepai's out injured.
End of the day, only two of your replacements have not played in the NRL teams yet.
