QLD have 'QLD expects you to do your duty'. That's a great motto. They also have a ( perseved) loyalty thing.
What do NSW have? Picking combinations?!
We need to embrace the concept of playing for NSW means you are the best! The best in your position and the current best. No more fullbacks at center. No more making the team coz you are a good combination for Cleary.
If you make the NSW team it's because you are currently the best player in NSW in that position. Period. Well , except for the bench.
We embrace being the best. Not up to it this year? You don't make the team. Down on form? Your not in the team. Being picked for NSW means you are the best and only the best will do for NSW. A true rep team.
I reckon that would feel pretty good as a player, knowing you got there on your merit.

Do not tell this to the legends, they will hunt you down for not being loyal to someone who had a line-break 15 years ago but should still play Origin due to that line-break.
Ha. True. I know it has its downside. I just thought it could give us our own identity. making the team is like making the Olympic relay team in swimming. Yes you are a team, but you get there by being the 4 best freestyle swimmers - not the best at getting along.

NSW need to embrace the corporate wanker stereotype.. ruthless , boring, efficient, clinical, suit wearing run the country mentality. Cause we do lol. QLD is funded by the hard working tax payers of NSW. The entire state is a mirage. NSW need to focus on crushing the QLD spirit just like our lawyers, accountants and consultants do. You get the drift. That's our roots, own it.

To a certain extent but Latrell is the best centre NSW have and has to be picked even though he plays fullback for club. Same with Turbo, he was man of the series 2 years back. Those 2 players are special. I am however sick of the whole club combination conversation. DCE and Munster don't play together. Cronk and Thurston never played club together. IMO Walker, Hynes, Moses, Keary and Wighton are all better options than Luai at 6
You pick the best players and find a spot for them!
If that means 5 fullbacks playing 1-5 so be it.
Latrell and Turbo at 3-4 is superior to any other centres in the comp.
