  • Gee our for and against is shocking!
  • The negative for and against seems to happen pretty much every year. Usually we lose more than we win but this year we've won more by small margins while being spanked a couple of times.
Hopefully we can bring that back to a positive some time soon. A 40 point win against Melbourne would be nice :)
    • We actually finished with 13-11 last year with a +11 differential whilst having our differential wiped (+63) when we had the points deducted.

Add this year's record and you see a vast improvement than the previous years.

  • If we keep winning the for and against will take care of itself.
4 points clear of 9th spot with a bye in hand and games against a decimated Melbourne, quite a few teams well outside the 8 and most of our remaining games either at home or in Sydney.
    There are no excuses.
  • I assume Vince is talking about Manly being in third spot with only 15 games played
  • I am an optimist and I think if we can beat a weakened Storm and the Tigers then the clash at ANZ vs the Bronco's could be decisive in making a top 4 finish.

It can be done!!! I think that 1,2 and 3 will definitely be Storm, Roosters and Sharks. With a win against the Bronco's we'll definitely have a good shout for 4th spot.

Parra has been a team growing in confidence since last year winning games against adversity. We have become tough feckers and although we may not have any rep footballers or play fancy stuff we have a marvelous tenacity to hold on especially with our backs to the wall. Either that being injured players and losing more than half of our forwards, refs screwing us over or being smashed by the opposition pack, yet we still manage to hold on and take home the bacon!!!

Parra hasn't been this tough and mentally strong in years. All this is down to Brad Arthur. Parra will improve and feature heavily in finals football the next few years. We just need a bit more fine tuning. Guth, French and Brown will be playing  rep football in the not too distant future.

    • I think Manly will take the 4th spot, well coached, in good form at the moment and relatively easy draw. I do agree that we have a shot of taking the Broncos at ANZ. Wont be easy but it is an opportunity.

    • 4th! Lets not go nuts. Ive seen the capitulation all too often. As muttman said, no excuses. If we dont make the 8 then we certainly have only ourselves to blame.

    • Manly in 4th
      Parra in 5th

      Cracking semi final.
  • Manly is good this year punching well over their weight but can they carry that form until the end? We on the other hand have not really hit our straps and have heaps of room for improvement.

I really don't fear any team apart from the top 3. I give a chance to beat anyone else. The Bronco's are stronger on paper but have been choking in recent years and not done as well as they should. They are beatable.
