Hi all I am new on here and got told about this site by a friend who said its a good place to get shit off your chest with fellow Parra Fans. So here I am and I am going to start with the current issues that have marred our club in the last week.
I honestly feel that regardless who sits on our board they will have to deal with factions undermining every positive they try and achieve. it will never stop and each time good people within our organisation will lose their jobs because of a new board taking over. New CEO's, New CFO, New PA's etc etc etc . Tell me what organisation can survive and be successful when every 2 years there is new leadership and new direction. When a group of a 1000 voting footy fans and members hold the key to who runs our club...not only the football side of things but also the multi million dollar operation that is the Leagues Club. How can we possibly risk the running of our leagues club on the emotive vote of 1000 die hard parra members. How can we risk that a ticket of people with little or no business acumen running our business? How can they possibly understand the salary cap
and be able to implement strategies around it.
we need constitutional reform and we need it immediately. we need to separate the leagues club from the threat and instability of an emotive vote. We need to vote for 2 boards with different skill sets to deal with the affairs of their respective organisations. Perhaps have 2 from the leagues club board on the football club board to insure continual funding and support from the leagues club.
to be blunt and honest Steve Sharp is not the chairperson an organisation like Parramatta Leagues should have at the helm. Lets face it, his interests lay predominantly with the football side of things because he knows that if the football is right and team starts winning and be successful it will guarantee his tenure as a board member and Chairman. the voters don't give a rats whether the leagues club has made a huge profit, it all hinges on our NRL team.
Lets get professional and reform or we will lose the NRL team and all football to Private Enterprise.... I guess however that may be the only way of ridding this once proud football club of all the self interested individuals who have damaged the brand of THE PARRAMATTA EELS. SHARP, ISSA and CO if you really care about our club STAND DOWN and stop the embarrassment.

Welcome Gary, your right, weve been pushing it for as long as i can remember here on 1EE, especially Phil, your not alone, we all want constitutional change mate.
Hi Snake, thanks for the welcome mate. ye I quickly read one of Phil's posts regarding this issue. We all got to get this over the line. the only way to get some sort of stability in the joint. Parra should be a powerhouse of the west both from a football point of view and Leagues Club. Too many changes recently and when we did have stability when Fitzy was there for 30 years his interest was more towards the footy and didn't grow the leagues club as he should of and as a consequence we got left behind clubs such as castle hill rsl and Wenty Leagues
Hi Shane, yes if your a member you can certainly push for it. with an AGM coming up you can have your say. I am sure that at an AGM it can be voted for as long as its put forward to the board 21 days before as an agenda item. Its something that really needs addressing.
Hi Kurupt. soap and water just wont cut it!! Its deep seated SHIT :)
true there wasn't. I guess that if they did stand down the NRL would appoint a caretaker board until the next election or bring forward the elections to this year
