Think we don't need Cronk??

Our halves are the laughing stock of the NRLKk and morts are reserve grade at best2 tries in 2 weeks. We'll be closer to spoon than premiership this year

  • Who do you blame when young halves have no idea how to lay on a try or repeat sets? maybe they need to start looking at the coaching...bring on cronk
  • Agree! They are horrible! We are lacking a proper halfback!
  • As i said in the other blog. HAND THE DUTIES OVER..... Ill have Cronk anyday
  • Considering KK came off the bench and then played hooker for most of the game, you can't really criticise him on tonights performance
  • Tonight was a thousand times better than last week. If we had a halfback we win. We would also have won against Cronulla (twice), Canberra and Newcastle. Can't fault the effort tonight, Brisbane are a very good side. The difference was they had someone to steer them around the park and we didn't. Mortimer tried but he is a Terry Lamb style support player, not an organiser. Buy a decent halfback and he would be a terrific 5/8. Keating played well tonight and was one of our best, but he is not a halfback either. Better suited as bits and pieces impact player. We need Cooper Cronk. Pay whatever he wants.
  • Mortimer had to tackle 38 times and had no energy to put in good kicks. We need someone to protect Mortimer full time. Either Smith or Mateo. Keating didn't play enough but was brilliant with his running game but lacking in his kicking game most of the time. Cronk will be too expensive.
    • Cronk is worth whatever it costs to get him
    • If we can't afford Cooper Cronk after losing 5 players we need a new accountant.
  • Morts is a great tackler but hes not there to tackle. He has no f*cken idea on how to run this team.
  • Nah. I wouldn't pay more than $400,000 a year for him considering how much we signed Hayne for. He may be consistent every week but don't forget the opportunity cost is 2 potentially important forwards who we need on the bench. No go forward = no chance for halves to even do anything. Right now we've got a perfect balance but the only problem is our halves never fire because they're always too tired...

"First game against them the wingers both made poor defensive issues to let in tries. Plus Samrani got burnt by McLean, hope thats been addressed. we were in that game till late, gave away dumb penalties.
I think Simonsson will come in late"
