* Defence - Teams rarely show their attacking structures in pre-season with the attack is getting the rust off. As for defence it is similar, though want to see strong defence nonetheless. It is a part of our game that i feel we have struggled with compared to the bigger teams. Is it personnel or coaching or both?
* Bench rotation - Particularly Hands and Matto. If Hands is to be a utility, could see him get some minutes at Lock, if he does then that could see him get into the 17. As for Matto is it about when he is on. With Ofa apprently out, Matto could be on earlier if he is out of favour. If Greig, Tuilagi or both get on before him then alarm bells ring for Matto. If he is on first, which he was 95% of the time when featured on the bench then he is in the 17 as normal. But i also want to see how they use Tuilagi. BA has never been shy to show that he wants his back-rowers to player 80 mins. Lane can do it and does it most weeks, Cartwright just started last year. But if both are 80 min back-rowers, where does Tuilagi fit. I am curious if Tuilgai will be used in the middle at some point as he has not been known to be a middle, plus BA also said they are training him up to be an 80min back-rower.
* Simonsson v Harper - i do not think it is over quite yet. But BA needs to give Harper time on left Centre to see if he is an improvement. Simonsson had a game last week, swap at 20min mark to get a look at Harper. Hopefully it will happen to get a definitive.
* Tuilagi continuing form from last week - He was dominant last week, as he should be against a sort of 2nd string team. If he can come out and do same against GC, then you could lean towards him being the real deal and him having an impact this year.
* Will Talagi play any Centre - I understand him playing Fullback as much as possible is important to make him more well rounded as a player, but his future short term is at Centre. Would much rather him spend time at Centre to compete with Simonsson and Harper eventually. Playing Fullback is handy but playing Centre makes sense also. Considering he played his best at Centre against Canberra.

Wiz, I didn't fail to notice that neither Foran nor The Unicorn made it tp the game. I assume Foran saw that impressive horn, had a sly word cut a few lines ,and got a room
I want to see a massive improvement in our defence.
It has been substandard for years.
Our forwards are better than theirs as is our halves but their backline is better. We should have more points in us than they do.
It rained here in Ipswich all last night and there is supposed to be more today. Bloody humid to.
Christ it's all we need, humidity. Just get through unscathed. Bulldogs pack is big but not as big as ours so just have the forwards come out well. Though talk is only allowed to use players named, so i wonder if BA can use up to 25 even if he named 22, we might need say Ogden, Makatoa and Moretti if it is very humid.
What's the temperature been like BEM? Here in Sydney we had a massive downpour and storm early in the week and Friday was around 38-39 degrees and most of it was humid, just uncomfortable.
It was 37 yesterday and will about 28 when the game kicks off.
It is looking like rain from 3 until later this evening with humidity to hit around 75%.
