NRL refereeing is f**ked. The favourites get all the calls in the first 20 minutes, then they even it up but usually it is too late. Dogs and Manly proved that in the two games so far. We should have beaten the Dogs easily last week but the refs gave them too much start.
It's been pissing me off for years. The Warriors is another team which is consistently dudded.When the top teams play one another, they get to lie over each other for most of the night. Yet the Eels can cop a penalty at the drop of a hat. Hayne was right to go public about it but he probably did us no favours.
I would be able to accept it if the dud calls evened out.
But this year, they have been so consistently against us that questions have to be asked.
PS, And certain teams get the calls consistently for them. We should have beaten manly twice this year.
While I agree FME that we always seem to get nailed by the refs, and it s#*ts me to tears, but I have noticed that the good teams seem to fight to get to their feet regularly, and this will always influence a ref to penalise the defending team. To remedy this problem, and it needs to be done quickly if we are a chance in the finals, parra need to fight hard to get to their feet in every tackle. It comes down to desire.
