Yes eels are facing problems with their TPAs because of our incompetent board. However, try and tell me most clubs aren't doing the same. Do people remember Scott princes house, the Cowboys scandal at the start of the year or the fact the Broncos CEO stood down? There are obviously issues across the board. Wouldn't it be interesting if the NRL got off their ass and ordered a league wide investigation BUT offered an amnesty period. Instead of making the eels an example, show some true leadership and take the issue head on in a broader sense.

  • Totally agree, hopefully thats the good that comes out of this, the whole TPA system needs to be scrapped or restructured, its a floored system as it stands that every man and his dog is rorting.

    • How interesting would it be to see how many clubs used the amnesty period
    • Totally agree Snake that it's a flawed system - but what's a better system? I'd say the NRL would love to overhaul it, the question is, to what?
    • Considering the NRL has caught no one without whistle blowers, I'd say no clubs would use an amnesty period.

Perhaps this NRL should introduce rewards for info that leads to results?
  • Said the same thing in a blog I posted last night.  Deleted it after I received about five posts. LOL.

  • 100% Beer man. No point having a cap tpa is a joke.
  • There is a hidden agenda by some sections of the media that want Fitzgerald back running this club. They have voice, they have a paper, & a radio station that will stop at nothing to bring this club down. Can't believe they can't be stopped, can't believe they would want the club in its knees instead of supporting & helping it get back where it belongs. I won't even mention the corrupt NRL!!!!
  • Third Party Sponsors have a lot in common with in-laws.

You deny there is a relationship there & avoid being publically exposed with them, which might prove a relationship.
  • I agree that the TPAs are a joke but I do wonder how many here will be complaining about them, the media coverage and the NRL if it was a different team caught instead of Parra
    • You've answered your own question.... Everyone DO always complain about them and the inequity and rorting it brings....
