There’s ALWAYS next year, no really there is.

I’ve turned that rubbish of and gone to bed. Wet weather, Melbourne cold. Slippery AF. It was never going to be our night.

The Melbourne old heads just manage that stuff well. Moses was over pumped up and has been overplaying his luck. We needed kicks not Hail Mary’s

But overall is been a damn good year. Yes there’s only one winner but 11 other teams did worse than us.

This team has showed us that when things go their way they can run up record breaking score lines. Our play makers are still pretty young and will only get better. Sivo will get better and that’s scary for other teams.

Mahony is only 18, and yeah he’s been schooled a bit tonight, but he got Smith in the bin to kadoos to him. Give him another 2-3 years and we’ll have a champion hooker finally.

Dylan Brown is a must keep. If we can keep this team together for another 2-3 years and bring in one marquee forward I think we will finally see another premiership.

The BA haters will use this game to come out with a million negative “I told you so’s” but up there’s. BA has had to deal with a mile of set backs and stuck with us and is slowly but surely pulling us out of the mess we were in. The roster is coming together slowly and with age and experience with rise to the top teams in the next few years.

Up the Eels.

  • Yep we must keep Dylan

  • No there isn’t. I expected to lose but not like that, this gap between the top team like the roosters will take years.go the roosters have to go for someone

  • Dylan Brown started to get into the game in the second half and had some nice touches. His tackle on Olam when the game was gone is a level of commitment we need by the whole side to go to the next level.
With Brown and Mahoney we have what could be a premiership spine in the near future. I was also impressed today with Juniors work rate considering how much defence we did early.
With RCG joining us and Sivo and Waqa Blake full pre seasons to improve I am looking forward to next year.
A top 4 finish has to be the goal to ensure home ground advantage in week 2 or 3 of the finals

  • I like the positivity. I'm not confident at all. The off season is long. Next year will be completely different. We could just as easily finish top 4 as we could finish last. Nothing is good about tonight (in my mind). I wish I could have your positivity.

  • For some maybe but what about those supporters in their late 70s or 80s, lifelong devoted supporters?

Do they get to see a next year? I don’t mean to sound overly dramatic but to some NRL and Parra are their lives.

This is why capitalising on semi final opportunities are in so important. We never know if we will get another chance nbour lifetimes.
