The rumor that the Eels Administration will appoint Brad Arthur as a coach for the next two years ranks as the worst possible decision ever made by an administration. It flies into the face of an appalling history of Arthur`s tenure as head coach of the Eels. It is no news that the decision comes one day after what must be the worst defeat in the Eels history inflicted by the Storm as they exterminated our team in Brisbane.
The mindset of those who made this decision defies examination. What possessed them? What witch flew across the lunar orb terrifying them of the little wit they obviously held? What pipes and what timbrels shrieked all manner of intelligence from them.? I expect that the names of the guilty will be known to the public so that history will revile them In perpetuity.
One fundamental required of a coach is that he wins more matches than the losses. Of this simple requirement, Arthur has failed repeatable overextended employment as a coach. When he first arrived he publicly announced that the 50 odd scorelines, which the Eels suffered just before his employment, would not happen under his coaching. Of course, such rubbish was quickly revealed for what it was. He had other such scores to humiliate himself and the Eels community. This culminated in last Sunday`s outrage. One shrinks from imagining what lies ahead. Particularly so when an administration reveals itself as being bereft of anything relating to common sense.
In the next two years--and surely it can`t go on beyond that?--I see the crowds dropping off from the new stadium as the losses accumulate. The stadium powers that be could intervene with the loss of profits and in effect turf out the Eels and bring in, what was originally proposed, The Western Sydney Bulldogs! Stranger things have happened. Which would you prefer, Perth or a third Queensland side as the Eels final destination?
I hope now that the proposed changes to the clubs constitution do not get up and at the next annual meeting, some group with only their own benefits in mind succeed in the election and remove all those who have inflicted this situation on the membership be removed. Up until yesterday evening, such thoughts and intentions were anathemas to me. Not any more.

agree, but you forgot that the players turn up and play for him, ok... just not every game.
This definitely needed to be its own blog. The other blog, on the exact same issue, only has 101 responses since the news broke just before 8pm last night.
Hahhaha. Absolutely.
Well, news of the club's apparant faith in Brad Arthur has sparked a positive increase in Site Activity. And to think the site was almost pronounced dead, a few months ago.
Correct Coryn. He s just another site whinger.
Not Dick (sorry Nick) the sites failure lover!
I have to say I am surprised by this announcement (if true). I think BA is a good/decent man and has shown his commitment to the eels many times over, but we live in a world where you have to show results otherwise you're out. After 6 years I thought BA had ran out of time and the team was due for a change. I run a business for a multinational and I can assure you if my team doesn't perform over a period of time, than I will be the first to be shown the door.
Obviously I am not privy to the internal machinations of the club but I can only judge by what I see on the field and recent results. Based on that, I don't think resigning BA for a further 2 years would be a good decision.
The worse decision is an under statement! It's absolutely stupid, crazy, idiotic and ridiculous. However, it appears this club loves failure as does a certain follower named Nick.
Guess what Wong, we all dont have to like and put up with 6 years of failure and another 2 and a half! But if your content with failure be my guest. Maybe you could team up with Dick ( I mean Nick) he loves failure! If you dont like my comments Wong, dont read them! On another note Wong, what does MD BSA stand for? Is it Mental Disorder Brad Simple Arthur perhaps or something similar?
