The turn of the tide

No longer is Parramatta seen as the over paying under succeeding club of the past five years or more. The appointment of BA has been the turning point in the future of our club and Im so proud to say that, I cant remember feeling confident in every decision that gets passed and every signing, every team selection or game plan structure. In terms of attracting players we have no dilema and through that we can do what we have begun to do and build a competitive squad that will train hard and come together. Building our depth is something we have never really done, along with the juniors being mentored by guys like Watmough, Peats and BA there is only positives coming.

More to the point when you hear of players who are coming off contract, stars from rivals or in our ranks I don't lose sleep hoping and praying. Even more I know if we get them its cause we want them to fit our mould, not because we offered the most money.

Its an amazing feeling and Im sure fellow members of the blue and gold army feel the same way.

Just quietly from a while back..

  • I feel the same way but it took a long time for the tide to turn buy poeple do say good thing happen to who waits boy have we been waiting bring on 2015
  • Feel the same way.

Remember Sharpie saying that he wanted players to sign with us for the right reasons and because they want to be here etc Guess now that we have a respected coach that must help too.

Although feeling a bit suss about Watmough's signing for four years, I am now believing that he wants to be here and make a difference, spose time will tell there.

It's nice that we are building a bit of first grade depth too and that we can afford to have the likes of Matterson and Goodall there when they are ready to step up without having to rush them in if they are not...although can't wait to see how they go.

So go the Mighty Blue and Gold!!

    • I hope we keep ZDC for long term to im looking forward for him and Matterson play first grand for us i hope

  • Same team...Peats only has to pick up where he left off and he will play for the Blues too.

  • That would be so good Paul.

  • PP "The turn of the tide" is a nice phrase to reflect what is currently happening with our organisation. We have seen some bad days - poor results, poor boards, bad publicity - but we do seem to be turning the corner (lol another phrase). The appointment of BA and the arrival of Steve Sharp have been the game changers in my view. Throw in young greenhorn Scott Seward who has exceeded my expections as a CEO that adds further stability in the joint.

But tides do turn as they are never permanent and we are still a work in progress. I can't imagine what we would be like if we lost Brad or Steve midstream.
  • Like your blog Pastizzi. I totally agree. Can I have 1/2 dozen pazzeli and 1/2 gbonn please

  • I think alot of credit should also be given to the CEO Scott Seward . He's been a rock in our boardroom
    • He is not on the board.  He reports to them.

    • Well whatever he's doing is awesome

"Pezet had 3 runs, 5 kicks, 2 errors, and 3 try assists. Let's be frank, two of his try assists were fluke kick/regather efforts by others and his try a fluke kick/regather by himself. Ryles played possum about what he has to work on in the press…"
