The Titans have had a highly successful year

How's this load of garbage from the NRL in regards to Hayne.

"The Titans have had a highly successful year and the club's image should not be smeared by an incident where it appears there has been no breach of the law," the spokesman continued.

The Eels had a better season on field.

It is a breach of the law to be associated with outlaw bikies. ( Just ask Corey Norman )

The NRL commission needs to be sacked, They are obviously a lot more corrupt than the previous Eels board but their media connections help them look clean in the public eye because the NRL supplies their stories as they did with the Eels this year.

The NRL are going to bury this story as quickly & as quietly as they can. CHEATS

  • 100% correct, they are corrupt.
  • If the TIghtasses had a "successful " year then why did they come 8th? What about this DVD that's supposedly to be doing the circuit, about the two TIghtasses players doing something naughty
    • They were 1 of the teams expected to get the wooden spoon & they recruited peats, Hurrell & Hayne mid season & made the finals I'd say that's a pretty successful year for a team that wasn't expected to do anything
  • If the Eels didn't loose their points the Titans wouldn't have made it into the finals. They had success only because the Eels had it taken away from them.

  • Pearce didn't break the law and the NRL fucked the chooks before their season even started
  • I wonder if QLD has different laws in relation to consorting with criminal gangs. That would the only way out of this. If so Jarryd's lucky this didn't happen in NSW.

I seriously hope the NRL leaves us alone now. They got what they wanted, and I hope we grow strong enough to show up the NRL for their failings. It is a poorly run organisation with a pathetic dictator in charge.

  • If you were selling a car that was a piece of crap would you write the advert to reflect what a piece of crap the car actually is or would you emphasize that it is road registered, has 4 wheels, working cup holders and a radio slot.

You are the NRL and the Titans are the car.

  • I am waiting for Hayne to announce that what really happened is that, like all the truly devout who manage to find Jesus in their pizza and other food items, he found Jesus in a bikie and its religious intolerance to make anything negative of this story. http://m.mentalfloss.com/article.php?id=26625
  • The current NRL administration is the most inept sports administration in the country. The current NRL Commission has recruited 2 CEO's and both are dismal failures. John grant needs to take responsibility for the situation and resign so that the reins can be handed over to an administration that is professional and capable of managing the best football code in Australia. At the moment the NRL is a laughing stock.

If you look at the CV of the current CEO Todd Greenberg and compare that to the recently appointed Parramatta Eels CEO, knowing that both were applicants for the NRL CEO position, how did they select TG for the position.

Issues such as Match fixing, followers of the game have been aware that it has been taking place for some time yet the NRL do not act until backed into a corner by the NSW police.

The Salary cap was introduced to even the playing talent between all the clubs and stop a couple of teams dominating all the best players. Salary cap cheating has been a joke for years. It has got even worse since the TPA rules changed in 2011. It is impossible to see three or four teams corner the market on SOO and rep players and not know that there is a problem with the salary cap.

However the NRL only acts after an insider tips off the media and backs them into a corner and forces their hand. Not only do they investigate a club that is not one of the powerhouses but during the entire process the NRL continually feed the media information on everything that happens during the investigation. This ensures that the NRL will have won the case in the media irrespective of the outcome.

This is important because it takes the heat off the NRL administration to justify their part in all of this. Their contribution is a failed salary Cap system, the fact that other clubs are also doing the same thing. The player managers are aiding and nurturing the system of cheating in order that they gain financially from the outcome. The NRL has said that they will investigate the player managers, do not hold your breath.
