The 5th annual Timbo Cup blog is upon us. What a milestone. Bigger even than the mighty Blue & Gold's winning the Auckland Nines I reckon. Last year was another record for participants, leaving my data entry fingers bleeding and fearing more for their safety this year than a poodle in the vicinity of a halfback.
As soon as the nuffies from the chip wrappers put their wildly inaccurate guesses up I'll add those too. Turns out most of us here on the 1 Eyed can out tip them better.
Here is the scoring system:
5 pts - correctly pick Minor Premier or Wooden Spoon
4 pts - correctly pick second place and second last
3 pts - correctly pick a team on their exact finishing place on the ladder
2 pts - a team finishes 1 place above or below your predicted finishing place
1 pt - a team finishes 2 places above or below your predicted finishing place
Bonus 5pts for predicting exactly where the Eels will finish.
I'll tally up the results again at the end of the regular season.
