I read this comment from Shaun Lane in an article today and had to chuckle, but quietly hope he is right.
“This is probably the best pre-season I've been part of in my whole career,” Lane said.

Time will tell
For once, I just want a player to come out and say something like:
"This is just the worst pre-season ever. Everyone is overweight. No one is fit. BA has been killing us, he's just being a real kent. Blokes have been fighting in the dressing sheds after training. I can't see us coming anywhere above last."
At least then our pre-season expectations can be moderated somewhat. It would be a good laugh too.
At least he used the word "best"
"hardest pre-season ever" is the worry
He should have added "I'm also looking forward to next year's pre-season which will be even better".
And the pre-season after that which I already know will be better than that one.
