The strength of this community

I always like to keep you guys up to date with the numbers related to this community, but even I have been stunned by the traffic over the past month. In a month where we've had no football, the site has broken new records for both visits and page views.

In the last month the site was visited by more than 18,000 people. That's pretty much a full Parramatta Stadium. And last week we had the most visits to the site and the most page views (167,000) ever in the site's history.

We also broke past 1,500 members this week. Woohoo!

However, I have to say that the most amazing aspect over the past week has been the response to The Swarm bay. It looks pretty likely that we'll get 100 or so 1Eyed Eel members sitting and cheering together every home game and that's only going to make this amazing community even stronger and more enjoyable. Tony's efforts in making this happen have been simply amazing. If your tossing up whether to become part of this, absolutely do so. I've never enjoyed watching football as much as I did in Season 2010 and next year is going to be even more enjoyable and special.

P.S. My son broke his leg earlier in the week, so I spend most of the past week in Westmead Chidren's Hospital - which means there are a bunch of PMs and so forth I haven't responded to. Apologies and I will get around to it. It also means I can't take any credit for last week's amazing traffic stats :-) Big thanks to our wonderful mods who largely keep this site ticking over and out of trouble!
