ARTHUR BELIEVED TO BE ON MANLY HIT LIST

Parramatta Eels coach Brad Arthur is believed to be one of several coaches on a list drawn up by Manly who are said to be considering a replacement for Sea Eagles incumbent Geoff Toovey.
Toovey has two years to run on his contract, but there were reports last month that he and his club's new chief executive, Joe Kelly, had a heated row when Kelly declared Rabbitohs' forward Thomas Burgess should be flagged as a priority recruitment target at a time when the club was fighting to retain its superstar halves partnership of Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry Evans.
Arthur, who was an assistant coach to Toovey in their run to the 2013 grand final, steered Parramatta from consecutive wooden spoons to 10th spot in the NRL last season, and was believed to be considered a popular figure with the Manly players.
Any offer to return to Brookvale would be tough for the 40-year-old former Melbourne and Manly assistant, who signed a two-year contract, with an option for a third year, when he took over last October following the exit of Ricky Stuart. However, it's believed he has a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave the club.

While this UGLY story is once again rearing it's FUGLY head, I would like only one thing to happen.
i would like Scott Seward and or Steve Sharp to address this and address Brad with the reassurance that WHATEVER bottomless bag of money that Manly are obviously going to throw at this bloke, that they will get close or match the offer.
Brad Arthur is the REASON why we are a club on the rise and there is REAL pride and passion back in the blue and gold. Not just the lip service that is often given by players that "of course they have pride in the jumper", ANYONE can say that, but REAL , EVIDENCED PASSION AND PRIDE that we can see in the way they conduct themselves on the field, not only during a game, but outside the game, at training and other functions.
The club needs to hold onto a bloke like this and put a serious "don't argue" fend on any team or rumours that another team can snatch him away from us.
wouldn't we all Ron !!!
Just one?
Just a beat up story imo, BA wont be going anywhere.
1. BA is only 1yr into his dream job
2. BA is a Parra boy
3. Steve Sharpe has the admin under control which is probably why the get out clause ie past board history with coaches
4. Great pool of juniors
5. Im sure he's given some commitment to Watmough
6. As long as we honour his contract, give him a suitable upgrade when the time comes and just let him do his job, why would he want to leave.
7. If Steve loses at the election, who knows.
I can't see him leaving he is Parra through and through He's been a life long Eels Fan.... Coaching Parra would of been his dream job when he decided he wanted to become a coach.... No chance.
Such BS, who are the other coaches on the hit list, McGuire, Robinson, Bellamy??? dont want to disrupt any other team with BS but Parra is ok.
It was a nothing, silly season article by an absolute wanker the first time.
It is again the second.
I think it's all a smokescreen to deflect interest away from the Foz rumors.
