  Last night we saw the difference between Hodgson and Pritchard very clearly. Granted, Kaysa got a try assist for Vave's try. It was a good play. Hodgson offered so much more in attack.
  Apart from that he didn't offer a whole lot.
  I dare say we'll have a different 9 next year.

    Agreed, however Hodgson is arguably in the top 3 if not 2 hookers in the comp

  Kaysa line speed is rubbish, he has no communication and his first point if contact is non existent. Very bad wrestling technique, we need a hooker asap

  His work out of marker is a massive concern too. The lealuia try only occurred because Pritchard did t work from dummy half, allowing Hodgson to draw in some defenders before giving it to leilua

  When it comes to our hooker we may have to persevere with Kaysa and look to youth as an option. Jacob Liddle looks a good prospect. He has a good running game and is quite big for a hooker handles himself well in defence. Pinch him from the Tigers he looks a likely type.
  As far as accomplished hookers go their scarce on the market this year. If that's the road we go down we may have to wait till 2019.
  The reported $650,000 Peats is after is far too much for his ability and if we're are spending that much money I'd expect a quality all round dummy half.

    The top clubs are proactive and go after blokes on contract, and always seem to find a way. We sit back and wait and always seem to finish with the dregs and cast offs.  There is a reason we haven't played finals footy in 8 seasons.

    Who to we get then Alan. What's your suggestion champ . Do we offer Cam Smith $3 mill a season to come across. If your our recruitment officer who do we go after? Give us some answers Alan not more questions. Good clubs do lots of things , pissing and moaning isn't one of them. You identify talent you need. So who have you identified Alan I'm sure someone from the club would be reading and would like to be enlightened. Some blokes here are offering suggestions you have plenty of complaints surely that means you have the solution.

    This was my point I've said plenty of times of my concerns with Kaysa and I think he'd make a more than handy 5/8 in U.K. Super league. He's not the answer for us at dummyhalf , I don't think he's a rake at all but at the moment we're going to have to roll the dice with other youthful options if we want change. The accomplished hookers are locked up . Our best option is to identify who we believe will be the premier hooker in the next three years and sign him up for more then his current club is offering . I commented early last year we should go after Brailey, we didn't and I believe the next best is Liddle. Liddle being bigger has the potential to be anything , if we go that way I'd like us to hire Buderus as a speacialist coach to work with him and Mahoney.

    peatsy will be waitiing till after origin to make a call on his career. if he makes origin and performs well his value will shoot up. im hoping we can tie him up before that
