I've been very impressed with George so far. Never expected him to play so well.

Runs the ball back hard. Have made good metres and I've yet to see him pushed back in a tackle.

I can't really say if he's been great tactically in defence but in attack he seems to be in the right place at the right time.

After Gutho and Brown, he's another player BA picked up that looks the good and someone that can make the right wing spot theirs for the next 5 years.

  • I’ve been impressed too but there is something a little uncoordinated about a couple of things he does. A couple of bombs he took yesterday he looked pretty shaky and just made the catch, he diffused them all so job done I guess but you get the impression there is a drop in him. There is even something slightly off about the way him and his brother from Souths plant the ball for a try imo. I think all the pure talent in that family went to Michael but having said they all play really hard and don’t leave a thing out on the field. George is certainly the biggest of the 3 as well and runs really hard. I was watching his Wenty highlights at the award presentation night last year and he can motor too.
  • We’ve never needed Mansour. His best days are long ago.

    • Spot on

    • Agreed, while it might be early days so far, we may well have found the replacement for Semi, and doubt he will keep it warmed for Semi either.

  • According to TCT "17 runs, 166 metres, a team leading 5 tackle breaks, a line break and no missed tackles."

Work horse stuff. Tigers targeted him all evening and GJ won every single little battle.

  • Would be hard to get better value for money than this kid.
  • Looks like we can re-sign him over Auva’a.
    • Wouldnt miss Auva'a. Average to poor player for NRL standards.

  • If we are stupid enough to sign Mansour, I'd be very disappointed.
He doesn't want to leave the panthers.
You have to give it to The Duke - can really sell a turd sandwich and we will probably be stupid enough to eat it.
Massive upside in grabbing players like Brian Kelly - off contract and YOUNG.
We have to get out of the cycle of being the dumping ground of old injury prone players who have their best years behind them.
As for Gennings, he may not be as good as the Source but he's not far behind and offers much much more because he's cheaper which allows us to sign the players we need.
    • Kelly is rubbish
